SHOFCO Will Continue to Shine for Girls in Kenya with $2 Million Hilton Humanitarian Prize Win

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation has announced that the grassroots nonprofit organization SHOFCO (Shining Hope for Communities) is the recipient of the $2 million Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize for the year 2018.
Based in Kibera, Kenya--one of the largest slums in Africa--SHOFCO catalyzes large-scale transformation in urban slums by providing critical services for all, community advocacy platforms, and education and leadership development for women and girls. Since its inception in 2004, SHOFCO has ignited transformation and hope for more than 220,000 people.
